Prevost H3-45 VIP
The H3-45 VIP is the conversion-shell version of Prevost's H3-45 touring coach. Prevost says it launched the shell in 1993. The 2023 shell is 45 feet long and 102 inches wide, with a 500-horsepower Volvo D13 engine, and can be ordered with one to four factory slide-outs. Converters finish it as a motorhome.

About this model
Prevost's motorhome history page says the H3-45 VIP bus shell was launched in 1993 together with the H3-41 and H3-45 touring coaches. Wikipedia dates the passenger H3-45 to 1994, after 45-foot buses became legal.
The VIP is not simply a passenger H3-45 with the seats left out. Prevost's 2023 sheets give the VIP 83 inches from floor to ceiling against 77 inches in the passenger coach, an overall height of 149 inches against 146.25, an engine rating of 500 horsepower against 435, and a gross weight rating of 55,500 pounds against 53,000. The VIP sheet lists no passenger seats, parcel racks or lavatory. It does list factory slide-outs and extra alternator choices for the converter.
The 2023 sheet lists equipment that the March 2021 sheet does not: LED low and high beams, new mirrors with optional electronic mirrors, a keyless ignition button and the Prevost Driver Assist package. BUSRide reported that Prevost introduced an all-new H3-45 in 2023.
