Newmar Mountain Aire

The Mountain Aire is a tag-axle diesel Class A that Newmar says it introduced in 1990. The 2027 coach rides on a Spartan K3 chassis with a 525-horsepower Cummins engine and comes in four floor plans from about 38 to 45 feet, starting at $910,126 on its model page ($899,840 on Newmar's lineup page). Apart from fifth-wheel brochures, Newmar's archive has Mountain Aire brochures for 1994 to 2004, 2006 to 2009 and 2011 to 2027.

About this model

Newmar's history page says the Mountain Aire was introduced in 1990, along with the Dutch Star. The earliest Mountain Aire motorhome brochure in Newmar's archive is for 1994. Newmar also printed Mountain Aire fifth-wheel brochures through 2004, which are not counted here.

For several years the archive holds two motorhome brochures, one titled Class A Luxury and one titled Diesel Pusher. The brochures could not be read for this record, so the difference between them is not described here.

Some Mountain Aire brochures (1998, 2008, 2009 and 2011) are titled only "Mountain Aire" or "Mountain Aire Luxury" and do not say whether they cover a motorhome, so those years are not recorded as model years here.
