Who owns whom: the companies behind the coach brands

Most luxury motorhome brands belong to a larger parent company, and a few are still independent. This family tree shows who owns whom, with the year of each deal where a source gives one, as of October 2026.

Most luxury motorhome brands belong to a parent company, a larger company that owns them. A few are still on their own. This guide is a plain family tree, built from sources read in October 2026.

Ownership changes. One group below merged into another company in 2026, and one independent builder changed hands in 2024. Check the date on anything you read about who owns a brand, including this page.

THOR Industries

THOR Industries calls itself the world's largest maker of recreational vehicles (RVs). Its website lists Airstream, Jayco, Entegra Coach, Thor Motor Coach and Tiffin Motorhomes among its companies.

Winnebago Industries

REV Group, now part of Terex

This branch changed in 2026. Terex Corporation and REV Group completed a merger, the joining of two companies into one, on February 2, 2026. REV's shares stopped trading, and the combined company trades under the Terex name.

That month the trade paper RV News reported that REV's businesses, including its RV brands, would run as a separate unit inside Terex. It listed four motorhome brands: American Coach, Fleetwood RV and Holiday Rambler for Class A coaches, and Renegade RV for Super C coaches. In October 2026, Renegade RV's website still carried the REV Group name.

How the brands got there:

Monaco was not among the brands listed in the 2026 reports or in REV's October 2025 news release, and the sources read do not say what happened to the name. RV News also reported that REV sold its Lance Camper business in June 2025 and that Midwest Automotive Designs was sold in February 2026. Terex's chief executive said that sale did not mean Terex was leaving the RV business, but that its mix of businesses might change in 2027 or later.

Keep the date in mind

Four of the changes above happened in recent years: Newmar in 2019, Tiffin in 2020, Newell in 2024 and REV Group in 2026. A brand name can stay the same while the company behind it changes. Before you buy, look up who owns the brand today.
